Jimmy Clay Tournament Results

Jimmy Clay results are now available.

  • CTGA welcomed New Members JOHNATHAN DUFFIE, BRIAN NEWSOM and ELLIOTT REYES to our Jimmy Clay tournament.
  • We came within a whisker of cancelling the Jimmy Clay event because of foul weather. Our members thought different as 32 of our scheduled 36 players opted to test the elements and play. We played through a temp in the mid-30’s, a mild breeze, some ice pellets and a few big snowflakes.
  • Although our Sign-up deadline has passed, we still have a couple of openings for White Wing. If you’re available, sign up by Tuesday.

  • 2nd FLIGHT: Lindsay Shuff (85/72) won Back 9 scorecard playoff with Scott Preece (86/72)
  • 3rd FLIGHT: Carl Homeier (88/72) won Back 9 scorecard playoff with Alex Ager (88/72).

 

Also Congratulations to…..

  • Carl Homeier for his Hole-In-One on #12 (a 3 iron) This is Carl’s 2nd CTGA Ace….his first on Feb 22, 2005 at Circle C. He must like February golf.
  • Carl Homeier for winning both 2nd Trash Flight Close-To-Pins.
  • Teresa Phillips for the only Deuce in the 2nd Deuce Flight.
  • The 8 Deuce in the 1st Deuce Flight that shared the Carry Over.
  • To all the players who showed up and played on a “not so nice day.”

  • Let’s continue our great collective effort to ensure a 4:30 PACE OF PLAY.
  • Our 2012-2013 USGA Rules of Golf booklets are in. Make sure you pick yours up at your next tournament

All players are responsible for knowing tournament specifics including Pairings, Assigned Tees, Flights, Starting Holes, and Rules of Play. This information will be posted at the Jimmy Clay Pavilion before the start of play.

All players should be at the course, signed in and ready to play at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled start time.

Jeff Jones and Kevin Lowe will be the Directors in charge of this event, assisted by Eddie Nunez. Please direct tournament day questions or concerns to them.

FORMAT : Medal Play

1st TEE TIME: 10:30

TEES TO PLAY:

  • 1st FLIGHT MEN play BLUE Tees;
  • All other MEN play WHITE Tees;
  • LADIES play RED Tees

 

TRASH FLIGHT CARRYOVER: There is a Carryover in the 1st Trash Flight. See attached information.

CLOSE TO PIN HOLES: 1st Trash Flight - # 2 & #14; 2nd Trash Flight - # 5 & # 12

KODAK CHALLENGE HOLES: # 5 and # 10.

SATURDAY WEATHER FORECAST: Outstanding…temp in the mid 60’s and partly cloudy with only a 10% chance of showers. If the weather does turn bad, call the golf course (444-0999) after 8:30 on tournament day for status of play.

DRESS CODE: Jimmy Clay has no specific dress code. However, CTGA requests all players to please dress consistent with upscale course requirements. They are a Soft Spike facilities.
