To Prospective New Members
We thank you for your interest in the Central Texas Golf Association (CTGA) and we’re glad you’re considering us as your golf league of choice. We’re confident you’ll find us to be everything you’re looking for in an organization of this type. Browsing through our Website and the information below should answer many of the questions you may have about who we are and how we operate.
Our 2012 CTGA Tournament year began with our first event following our 2011 Fall Classic (October 1-2) and concludes with our 2012 Fall Classic. Our 2012 schedule consists of 30 tournaments, including 22 one-day weekend events, 6 weekday events and two 2-day weekend events.
CTGA 2012 Annual Membership Dues are $60.00, payable at your first tournament. For new members who join after May 31, Annual Dues are prorated to $35.00.
CTGA tournament fees include:
- Course green fee (and, if applicable, shared cart fee and range balls)
- Player Pool prize fee for competing in Flights and Close-to-Pin competitions
All tournaments include these Optional competitions:
- Skins ($5.00 entry fee)
- Deuces ($5.00 entry fee)
- Year long FedEx Cup competition (one time $10.00 entry fee)
- Year long Kodak Challenge competition (no fee)
Tournament fees are paid at the course on tournament day. CTGA does not burden members or invited guest with the need to pre-pay tournament fees.
Tournament formats are Individual (Medal Play, Modified Stableford, Chicago) and Team (2-Player and 4-Player Team) events. All Individual format events are Flighted based on individual CTGA established handicaps. Team events are Flighted based on total Team player handicaps.
And finally, CTGA has a Hole-In-One fund to reward any member or invited guest who achieves this feat.
To all amateur golfers (male and female) in the greater Austin, Texas area, we welcome you to CTGA.
