Green Ball Results

Green Ball results are now available.

  • CTGA welcomed New Members MATT LINDSAY and NED MINEVITZ, and Special Guests RICHARD BAKER and KHAM LY to our Roy Kizer tournament.
  • The Sun City courses are among our favorites every year. We look forward to returning to White Wing next Saturday. Don’t miss out on this great venue.

The staff at Clay-Kizer was gracious to allow us to change our event from Jimmy Clay to Roy Kizer. They continue to work hard to get the Jimmy Clay greens back to where they should be within the next month.

Our Green Ball tournament usually has about a 50% balance of Teams finishing all 18 holes with the Green Ball. This year saw only 6 of the 22 Teams accomplish the feat and only 2 other Teams kept it into the Back 9 only to lose it on the 17th or 18th hole. Maybe this is why this format is one of our favorites.

Congratulations to our Roy Kizer Team Flight winners….

Onion Creek Tournament Results

Onion Creek results are now available.

  • CTGA welcomed New Members JED BARISH, RYNNE CRUZ and RANDALL WESTBROOK, and Special Guests LARRY KEELING and GAVIN MARTINEZ to our Onion Creek tournament.
  • Because Jimmy Clay is operating with 3 temporary greens at this time, I’m looking at alternative venues to have our next tournament on Saturday, July 6. Not sure if we can make it happen, but I’m checking. We’ll let everyone know within the next few days.

As usual, Onion Creek proved to be one of the premier courses in the greater Austin area. It definitely proved that a short course (6,351 yards) can still be a daunting challenge. Their greens are arguably the best we’ve played this year.

Congratulations to our Flight winners….

1st Flight: Eddie Nunez 74 - 69

2nd Flight: Bill Lindquist 83 - 74

3rd Flight: Julie Torres 81 - 67

4th Flight: David Nardecchia 86 - 67

Also Special Congratulations to…..

  • Eddie Nunez – Low Gross 74
  • Jim Abrams, Rick Hall, and David Nardecchia for the only Deuces in the 2nd Flight
