White Wing Tournament Specifics

White Wing pairings are now available.

  • Remember, White Wing is an 8:00 Shotgun Start.  Give yourself ample time to get to the course in time to warm up before we start.  
  • If a conflict arises on Saturday morning and you are unable to play,  PLEASE CALL EDDIE NUNEZ (512-797-0566) or KEVIN LOWE (512-809-3430) before start of play.  No-Shows will be charged the Player Pool fee and, if required by White Wing, the course fee.
  • At this time we have room for more player on a first come basis.  If your plans have changed and you would like to play, please let us know ASAP.

This information will be posted at the White Wing pro shop prior to start of play.

All players should be at the course, signed in and ready to play no later than 7:30 as we’ll be going to our starting holes at 7:50.

Kevin Lowe, Scott Preece and Steve Barnes will be the Directors in charge of this event, assisted by Eddie Nunez.  Please direct tournament day questions or concerns to them.

FORMAT:  Medal Play

Again, this is an 8:00 SHOTGUN START

TRASH FLIGHT CARRYOVER:   No Carryover in either Trash Flight this event.

TEES TO PLAY:  Refer to Pairing Sheet

CLOSE TO PIN HOLES:  1st Trash Flight - #7 & #17;    2nd Trash Flight - #5 & #12

KODAK CHALLENGE HOLES:  #9 and #15.

 

WHITE WING DRESS CODE:  They do have a dress code consistent with Country Club dress policy.  CTGA requests all players to dress accordingly.  They are a Soft Spike facility.

 

SATURDAY WEATHER FORECAST:   With El Nino in full swing, there is a 30% chance of rain….which also tells us there’s a 70% chance it won’t rain.  If the weather does turn bad, call Eddie (512-797-0566) or Kevin (512-809-3430) after 7:00 for status of play.

·         From Austin, going North on I-35……

·         Exit 261A….stay on access road, then

·         Left turn onto RR2338 / Williams Dr

·         Stay on Williams Dr for 5.1 miles, then

·         Right onto Del Webb Blvd for 1.9 miles

·         Left onto Sun City Blvd for 0.7 miles

·         Right onto Dove Hollow Rd

Roy Kizer Results

Roy Kizer results are now available.

  • CTGA welcomed New Members CHANDLER BAGGERLY, JOHN COMRIE, DAVE COX, RYAN HAGENS, and PARKER STEWART to our Roy Kizer tournament.
  • The Roy Kizer Pace of Play report is attached for your review.  Despite the pretty strong winds, this is a marked improvement over our last event.  Our play time was great and our new positivbe expectations are now even greater.
  • With several cancellations yesterday due to last minute conflicts, we found it necessary to reduce the Payout places in 4 of our Flights, which were reduced to 7 or 8 players.

         And finally, to Felix Contreras with the only Deuce in the 2st Trash Flight, with a Carryover.  It was a 51 foot bomb on hole #15….worth about $6.57 a foot.

Roy Kizer pairings are now available.

  • The Jimmy Clay – Roy Kizer driving range is now closed for repairs, so don’t plan on hitting balls before play on Saturday.
  • We again ask all CTGA players to PLEASE CALL THE GOLF COURSE (512-444-0999) or EDDIE NUNEZ (512-797-0566) if a conflict arises Saturday morning and you are unable to play in this tournament.
  • At this time we have room for 3 more player on a first come basis.  If your plans have changed and you would like to play, please let us know ASAP.
  • We will ask the Roy Kizer Player Assistant to help our players maintain our expected Pace of Play target.  Please do your part to make this happen.
