CTGA welcomed New Members IAN BRINK and TOWNER DYER, and Special Guests BILLY GRAHAM and JIM ROSENTHAL to our 2-Day Team tournament.

2-DAY TEAM TOURNAMENT RESULTS

Not sure how many more bad weather bullets CTGA can dodge, but we did it again this weekend.  Yesterday was all but a total washout, but persistence and optimism told the 72 CTGA faithfuls that we would play.  After a 75 minute delay, we started in the rain and by the 3rd hole the rain gear came off and the rest of the day was outstanding.

 

2-Day Team Flight winners…..

1st Team Flight:   John Relic and his “blind draw” partner Tom Bolanos took top honors with a 59 (Sat)/136 (Sun)/195 Team Total.

2nd Team Flight:  John Cervantes and John Valadez with a 60/144/204 Team Total

2-Player Team Championship Tournament Specifics

Pairings for the 2-Player Team Championship are now available.

  • Remember, our 2-Day tournament is an 8:00 Shotgun Start both days.  
  • If a conflict arises on Saturday morning and you are unable to play,  PLEASE CALL EDDIE NUNEZ (512-797-0566) or KEVIN LOWE (512-809-3430) before start of play.  No-Shows will be charged the Player Pool fee and, if required by Morris Williams, the course fee.

This information will be posted at the Morris Williams Pavilion prior to start of play.

All players should be at the course, signed in and ready to play no later than 7:30 as we’ll be going to our starting holes at 7:50.

Scott Preece and Steve Barnes will be the Directors in charge of this event, assisted by Eddie Nunez. Please direct tournament day questions or concerns to them.

TRASH FLIGHT CARRYOVER:   No Carryover in either Trash Flight this event.

KODAK CHALLENGE HOLES:  #6 and #16.

MORRIS WILLIAMS DRESS CODE:  No specific dress code at Morris Williams.  However, CTGA requests all players to dress consistent with Country Club facilities.  They are a Soft Spike facility.

SATURDAY WEATHER FORECAST:   A 30% chance of rain (at this time) for Saturday. which, again, tells us there’s a 70% chance it won’t rain.  If the weather does turn bad, call Eddie (512-797-0566) or Kevin (512-809-3430) after 7:30 for status of play.

Tournament Participation YTD through May 31

With our Colovista tournament on May 31, CTGA has completed 57% of our 2015 scheduled tournaments.  In numbers, 19 of our scheduled 33 tournaments are in the books and we have 13 events remaining before our 2015 Fall Classic onOctober 10-11 and 11 events remaining before our FedEx Cup Playoffs begin.

About this time every year, we start sending monthly reports showing individual participation so all Members will know exactly the number of events we’ve played year-to-date to meet our qualifying requirements for both the Fall Classic and FedEx Cup Playoffs.
