Onion Creek Tournament SpecificsOnion Creek pairings are now available.
All players are responsible for knowing tournament specifics including Pairings, Assigned Tees, Flights, Starting Holes, and Rules of Play. This information will be posted at the Onion Creek patio prior to start of play. All players should be at the course, signed in and ready to play no later than 12:00 as we’ll be going to our assigned holes at 12:20. Kevin Lowe and Eddie Nunez will be the CTGA Directors in charge of this event. Please direct tournament day questions or concerns to them. FORMAT: MEDAL PLAY TOURNAMENT COST: SHOTGUN START: 12:30 TRASH FLIGHT CARRYOVER: There is a Trash Flight Carryover in the 2nd Deuce Flight. Please see attached Carryover sheet for details. CLOSE TO PIN HOLES: 1st Trash Flight - # 8 & #17; 2nd Trash Flight - # 6 & # 11 KODAK CHALLENGE HOLES: # 7 and # 15. THURSDAY WEATHER FORECAST: In the mid-90’s with a few clouds and breezy. If the weather does turn bad, call the golf course (512-282-2162) or Eddie Nunez (512-797-0566) after 11:00 on tournament day for status of play. CTGA PACE OF PLAY: We’ll continue to push for our 4:30 pace target. Note that penalties will be assessed for “Excessive Slow Play”. ONION CREEK DRESS CODE.... requires proper golf attire. Raves about perfect weekend weather appeared to be a bit premature at about 9:20 Sunday morning as an intense thunderstorm stopped play for 45 minutes. It rained just long enough to get all players and equipment wet. As we returned to play, the clouds parted and the sun came shining through. From that point on, it WAS a perfect weekend of golf.

This may have been one of the best CTGA scoring tournament ever ….. Yeh….we played from the White Tees, but we also have to remember that we still had to hit fairways and greens and put the ball in the hole. Congratulations to those of us who were in a rare “zone” and to those of you who shoot similar scores regularly.
