Bluebonnet Tournament SpecificsBluebonnet pairings are now available.
What a great turnout for the first CTGA event of calendar year 2014. It looks like everyone is ready to start playing some serious golf. Let’s all be conscious of these two very important issues for Saturday: 1. Review the attached CTGA Rules of Play and make sure we comply with all; 2. Remember our 2014 Pace of Play expectation is 4:30 for all 4-somes. We won’t police play during your round, but we will monitor finish times of all 4-somes and, if necessary, assess penalties for “excessive slow play.”
All players are responsible for knowing tournament specifics, including…. 1. Assigned Pairings and Flights 2. Your scheduled Start Time 3. Your assigned Tees 4. CTGA Rules of Play
This information will be posted at the Bluebonnet Pro Shop prior to start of play.
All players should be at the course, signed in and ready to play at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled start time.
Kevin Lowe and Scott Preece will be Director in charge of this tournament, assisted by Eddie Nunez. Please direct tournament day questions or concerns to them.

AGAIN, BE CONSCIOUS OF CTGA PACE OF PLAY
THINK 4:30 and PLEASE STAY UP WITH THE GROUP IN FRONT.
BLUEBONNET DRESS CODE.... Although Bluebonnet has no specific dress code, CTGA requests all players to dress consistent with Country Club requirements. They are a soft spike facility.

Bandit ResultsResults from the Bandit are now available.
What looked like a sure tournament cancellation on Saturday morning turned out to be another break for CTGA. After a 90 minute delay due to rain and lightening, we were able to get started. The clouds parted and the sun was with us the rest of the day. The soggy fairways made the course play much longer than normal, but we managed to make the best of it. Every scheduled player refused to let imposing weather conditions keep us away. We thank The Bandit staff for allowing us to change to a Shotgun start to ensure we all got through before dusk set in….and we especially thank our Members and invited Guests for showing up and being patient as we waited out the inclement weather.
Attached are the results of our Bandit event. Congratulations to our Flight winners….

You’ve probably noticed that Nathan Neal, Blake McAlister and Clarence Theriot received only 50% of the payout for winning their Flights. A reminder that, per our CTGA By-Laws, new members who join with “self-declared handicaps” must play in 3 CTGA events before being eligible for 100% Player Pool Payout. Including The Bandit, both Nathan and Blake now have played in 3 CTGA events and are eligible for 100% payout in all future tournaments. Likewise, our invited Guests are eligible for 50% of the stated Player Pool payout amount. This does not apply to our Trash competitions (Close-To-Pin, Skins and Deuces) as all players receive 100% of actual payout. |
