Basic Outline
The 2008 FedEx Cup will be a season-long competition in which players accumulate points based on their finish in specified CTGA tournaments.

FedEx Cup Competition Eligibility and Formula
The following guidelines will govern the 2008 CTGA FedEx Cup competition:

• Competition is limited to 2008 active CTGA members only;
• Members must play in at least 8 (70%) of the designated General FedEx Cup tournaments to be eligible for playoff competition;
• All points accumulated in the General FedEx Cup tournaments will be divided by the number of events played to determine the average points per tournament. The 4 qualifying players with the highest average points per tournament will move on to the playoff rounds.

FedEx Cup Competition
Our 2008 FedEx Cup competition will consist of 3 segments:

• General Tournament season to accumulate points;
• 1-Round Playoff between the top 4 players from each Fed-Ex Cup Flight to determine the 2 players who will play for each Flight Championship;
• 2008 Classic tournament will determine the 2008 FedEx Cup Champion.

FedEx Cup Flights
FedEx Cup points will be awarded within each Flight in all Individual Format events based on how individuals finish in their respective Flights.

General FedEx Cup Tournament Season
Our General FedEx Cup competition will include all 12 weekend Medal Play and Modified Stableford format tournaments. Team events will not be used for this competition. FedEx Cup competition to accumulate points will begin on January 26 at Jimmy Clay and end on September 6 at Delaware Springs.

Individual final point standings will be determined at the conclusion of the General FedEx Cup Tournament Season. Regardless of the number of Flights in individual General Season Tournaments, only two (2) Final Standing Flights will be used to determine the top 4 players in each Flight to move on to the 2-Round Playoff. These two Flights will be determined in the same manner as we determine our Trash Flights for each event, by CTGA Handicap Index effective September 1, 2008.

1-Round Playoff
The top 4 players in each of the 2 Final Standing Flights with the most average FedEx Cup points per tournament will compete in a 1-Round Medal Play competition at Jimmy Clay on Sept 27. The two low net players in each Flight will move on to the FedEx Cup Championship.

FedEx Cup Championship
The 2-Round finals of the FedEx Cup Championship will be held at our 2008 Classic event on October 4 and 5. All play will be Medal Play with handicap. The two playoff winners in each Flight will compete on Saturday at Roy Kizer for the right to play for the overall FedEx Cup Championship on Sunday at Star Ranch. The winner of Sunday’s round will be our 2008 FedEx Cup Champion.

CTGA FedEx Cup Point Distribution

CTGA weekend Medal Play and Modified Stableford format tournaments will be used to award FedEx Cup Points. Team events will not affect FedEx Cup standings.

During our FedEx Cup General Tournament Season, points will be awarded to players on how each finishes within his/her assigned Flight. The 1st Place finish in each Flight will receive 5,000 FedEx Cup points. Second, third, fourth, etc., place finishers will receive points based on the distribution schedule below. In case of Ties, we will use the same procedure used to determine Player Pool winners. Scorecard playoff will determine First Place point winners. Points will be awarded for all other ties based on the distribution schedule below.

The table below shows the specific points to be awarded at all CTGA FedEx Cup Tournaments for each finishing place within each Flight:
